Top Level Domain (TLD)
A Top Level Domain (TLD) is the highest-level category of Internet names. The domnamspcdomain name space is divided into several TLDs. .com, .net, .org, .gov, .mil and .edu are examples of global Top Level Domains (gTLD). .cx, .md, .and .ac are examples of country code Top Level Domains (ccTLD). Domain names are registered within a Top Level Domain (TLD).
